In a qualitative step toward integrating sustainability into the educational process and promoting climate action on campus, the "Our Earth's Climate for Sustainable Development" Foundation signed a joint cooperation agreement with Alexandria University as part of the "Green Universities for a Better Future" project, funded by the Global Environment Facility's Small Grants Program (GEF/SGP). The agreement, signed at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Alexandria University, aims to transform the college into a pioneering "green college" model by reducing its carbon footprint, integrating green economy and environmental entrepreneurship concepts into educational programs, and enhancing student participation in sustainability activities and initiatives. This partnership between civil society and academic institutions is one of the most prominent interactive models for driving the shift toward sustainable, low-emission education. As a practical launch for the project, "Our Earth's Climate" organized the first awareness-raising workshop at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, attended by representatives from the Ministry of Environment and Alexandria University, as well as a number of students and faculty members. During the workshop, the results of a carbon footprint study of the Faculty of Pharmacy were announced. The study, prepared by a specialized company, serves as a scientific database to help determine intervention priorities and future action plans. The workshop also discussed opportunities to integrate green curricula into university education and ways to enhance the role of university students in addressing the climate change crisis through innovative solutions and student-led community initiatives. Successful international experiences in the field of "green campuses" were also reviewed, supporting local thinking with a global perspective.
